Welcome back to another episode of Talks To-Go! Jill and George talk with our next special guest father/daughter duo, David Barrett, Esther Barrett-Whloh, and Claire Barrett. David's Emmy Award-winning music has reached and touched the lives of millions of people. His best-known song, “One Shining Moment”, has been an  NCAA and CBS Sports staple for more than 30 years and has been sung by Grammy award winners Luther Vandross, Jennifer Hudson, and Teddy Pendergrass. Esther is a married mother of two young boys living in Metro Detroit, she’s an Account Executive for Cisco. She loves being close to family, all her native Michigan has to offer, football Saturdays in the fall and cheering on basketball all winter long. Claire lives outside Washington, D.C. with her husband and baby girl. With a Master's Degree in the History of War from King's College, London, she works as the military historian for Military Times. Esther is a World War II researcher and, like her sister, craves Michigan football.

She previously hosted MSNBC’s “Yasmin Vossoughian Reports.” Prior to joining MSNBC, she was a host and producer for The Daily Share on HLN. She’s interviewed leaders across the globe including Madeleine Albright and Newt Gingrich. In 1969, her father, Dr. Ahad Vossoughian, a beautiful, spiritual man, who specialized in internal medicine, came to America with love in his heart and a satchel full of dreams. Funny, fun loving and caring, he lived by the mantra “To love and be loved”. 
This is another "Remembering Dad" episode where we sit down with our guest whose father has passed away to discuss and reminisce about their relationship together.

Phil has been the television and radio columnist for the New York Post since 1982. A native of Staten Island, New York, he joined The Post in 1973 and covered the New York Cosmos and New Jersey Nets. Samantha lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two dogs and works in furniture sales. She loves design, architecture, art, fashion and pop culture. Plus, she cooks, gardens and does anything that makes her laugh. Laura is a mom to two girls, Shiri and Maya, and a pitbull mix named Wilson. She’s worked in real estate since 2007 and is an avid reader and concert goer.
